Parents As Teachers of Porter County is an early childhood, parenting and family education program that provides one-on-one guidance and support to parents interested in shaping their birth-to-five year old children into healthy and functional children ready to enter school and eager to succeed in life. Our mission is to help families through parent education, early literacy coaching and family support. We provide personal one-on-one visits, parent/child workshops, parent-only forums, developmental screenings and resource networking. We also provide our very successful "Ready, Set, Kindgergarten" readiness program.
We are dedicated to ensuring children in our community are provided with every opportunity to succeed. By working with parents on areas such as family centered topics, social-emotional development, gross and fine motor skills, and academic progress, PAT children are better prepared in necessary Kindergarten readiness skills. More often they also love to read!
Parents As Teachers of Porter County is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and is 100% self-funded.
